Hacktivist group Anonymous has released a chilling new video – urging people around the world to prepare for World War 3 – warning that the US is maneuvering its military for battle.
“All the signs of a looming war on the Korean peninsula are surfacing,” the group claimed in a six-minute clip, posted on YouTube over the weekend.
“Unlike previous world wars, although there will be ground troops the battle is likely to be fierce, brutal and quick. It will also be globally devastating on environmental and economical levels,” Anonymous warn.
Thefreethoughtproject.com reports: For more than a decade, North Korea has been unsuccessfully attempting to prove its military might to the world through a series of failed missile launches, nuclear proliferation, and threats to anyone who attempts to come near their border. And for more than half a century, the US has enabled it. In spite of threatening nuclear war on the world, most countries have never acted. However, the Trump administration appears to want to change that.
As the Free Thought Project has faithfully reported, tensions between the US and North Korea continue to rise — almost intentionally — as the US rattles the saber at the crazy Kim Jong-Un.
Just last week, North Korea, feeling pressure of encroaching American and allied vessels, threatened to make a ghost ship of a U.S. nuclear submarine.
“The moment the USS Michigan tries to budge even a little, it will be doomed to face the miserable fate of becoming an underwater ghost without being able to come to the surface,” railed propagandic North Korean outlet, Uriminzokkiri, quoted by the Independent.
“Watching as each country moves strategic pieces into place,” Anonymous notes, in their signature distorted robotic voice behind the Guy Fawkes mask. “But unlike past world wars, although there will be ground troops, the battle is likely to be fierce, brutal and quick. It will also be globally devastating, both on environmental and economical levels.”
The very real threat of nuclear war would most assuredly be devastating on all levels.
Instead of attempting to achieve peace, the US is responding in kind with intercontinental ballistic missile tests of their own.
To show Kim Jong Un that launching test missiles won’t be tolerated, the United States, last week, launched an unarmed intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) from a US Air Force base in California — just seven days after a previous launch.
“This is a real war with real global consequences,” Anonymous explains. “With three superpowers drawn into the mix, other nations will be coerced into choosing sides, so what do the chess pieces look like so far?”
“The citizen will be the last to know, so it is important to understand what the other nations are doing,” the group stated.
“The pragmatic Chinese, it seems, are starting to lose their patience.”
The Chinese do appear to be making moves for a potential conflict.
Last month, China’s Foreign Minister warned that an armed conflict with North Korea may break out “at any moment,” urging Washington and Pyongyang to tone down their hawkish rhetoric and realize the price to pay for both sides if a new Korean War were to start.
Shortly after the warning, China issued a notice to its citizens telling them to leave North Korea at once.
Anonymous also points out that war is likely imminent due to President Donald Trump meeting with the murderous president of the Philippines, Rodrigo Duterte.
Duterte, who compares himself to Hitler and publicly calls for the extrajudicial murder of his own citizens for using drugs, was invited to the White House by Trump.
“When President Trump starts reaching out to those like President Rodrigo Duterte of the Philippines to assure they are on the same page, one must start to wonder,” Anonymous says in the video. “However, even Duterte has advised the US to back away from Kim Jong Un.”
“Prepare for what comes next,” warns Anonymous.
“We are Anonymous. We are Legion. We do not forgive. We do not forget.”
What dominant US dark forces and their MSM press agents call a public health emergency doesn’t exist — not now or at any time since seasonal flu was renamed covid with diabolical aims in mind.
Since the scheme was rolled out in late 2019, the public has been consistently lied to and mass deceived to unwittingly self-inflict harm.
Count the ways.
Unrelated to protecting public health, 2020 lockdowns caused economic chaos, greatly harmed the development of children and made people fearful of publicly interacting together.
Administered at high cycles — rendering them invalid — PCR tests are all about creating large-scale numbers of false positive results.

Social distancing adversely affects normal interactions.

Yet on October 13, the illegitimate Biden regime’s Pharma-linked HHS director, Xavier Becerra, extended a nonexistent public health emergency through January 11.
Since first declared in January 2020, then renewed every 90 days, it’s been all about fear-mongering maximum numbers of people to self-inflict harm from experimental, rushed to market, health-destroying jabs — in flagrant breach of the Nuremberg Code and international law.
Officials throughout the US/West and elsewhere involved in pushing toxic jabs are guilty of intent to destroy public health with genocide in mind.
Commenting all things flu/covid since rolled out at a time of US-dominated NATO war on Russia by use of proxy Ukrainian foot soldiers, noted scholar-physician, Dr. Vernon Coleman, minced no words with the following candid assessment of things, saying:
“These are the darkest, most difficult days in human history.”
“We are facing the end of freedom and the end of the awesome wonder of the independent, human spirit” — based on the current trend, what no evidence suggests is abating.
When will most people throughout the US/West and elsewhere awaken to the reality that they’ve been scammed?
Coleman called the go-along crowd “moronic mask wearers, lockdown-lovers and witless, (flu)/covid jabbed collaborators.”
What’s gone on since late 2019 was a long-planned in advance “global coup,” he stressed.
Dominant dark forces highjacked the rule of law and what little remained of societies safe and fit to live in.
Based on an unofficial estimate cited by Coleman, toxic jabs “killed 20 million and injured many (millions) more.”
Now “mysteriously returned” after disappearing earlier, kill shot proponents want everyone jabbed for alleged protection not gotten against contracting flu, and “to stop them getting the other flu” — the one renamed covid.
And after nearly three years of all things flu/covid related, it’s known — but not publicly reported — that lockdowns, social distancing and masks greatly harmed the development of young children.
Things are perilously close to a “point of no return,” Coleman warned.
Instead of responsible leadership throughout the US/West, a criminal cabal runs things.
The new abnormal is far removed from governance of, by and for everyone equitably, according to the rule of law.
If kill shots don’t eliminate billions of unwanted people worldwide, perhaps US/Western dark forces will wage nuclear war in trying to achieve their diabolical aims.
And what’s going on is at a time of double-digit inflation, making essentials increasingly unaffordable, combined with hard times getting harder — heading toward protracted Main Street economic Depression.
What may not end during remaining years of the elderly may fast-forward their end time from deprivation.
And make no mistake.
Nothing is happening by accident.
Everything going on was planned to benefit the privileged few at the expense or all others.
America was never beautiful during my developmental years long ago.
But it was worlds apart different from today’s dismal state of things — the most perilous, humanly destructive time in world history.
And instead of easing, the worst of times lies ahead — because a US/Western criminal cabal planned it this way.
In 1972, a group of researchers from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) released a computer-generated report at the Smithsonian Institution investigating five major trends affecting the future stability of world society.
The report was titled Limits to Growth and was inspired to some degree by Paul Ehrlich’s thesis put forward in his book The Population Bomb. Ehrlich predicted that the aggregate world demand for resources coupled with population growth would lead to future starvation.
Limits to Growth (LTG) went beyond general resource and population measurement to assess the future status of five critical factors or trends that define the success of society. The five trends measured and assessed included:
Accelerating industrial development
Rapid population growth
Widespread malnutrition
Depletion of nonrenewable resources
Deteriorating environment
The foundation of the equation was simple. Any population needs certain products and services from food and water to housing, clothing, furniture, appliances, and in many industrialized countries – automobiles, TV’s, and new and emerging inventions and electronics.
The reality is that any product or service requires the use of resources to be produced or to function, and that the production of anything from electricity to food to automobiles results in varying degrees of waste products polluting the environment while depleting the supply of available resources.
Complicating matters is that as a population increases, its demands for more products and services increases. The fundamental question was: When does a society exceed its ability to provide fundamental and luxury goods and services because of diminished resources or excessive pollution?
The researchers made no assumptions about the end result and assumed it would simply indicate basic course corrections to manage growth in the future. They were stunned when the computer delivered conclusions indicating that the five factors would collectively lead to a collapse of global society around 2040.
The conclusion of the LTG report in 1972 stated:
If the present growth trends in world population, industrialization, pollution, food production, and resource depletion continue unchanged, the limits to growth on this planet will be reached sometime within the next one hundred years. The most probable result will be a rather sudden and uncontrollable decline in both population and industrial capacity.
Fortunately, it was only 1972 and it seemed like there was still time to make changes and alter the course of events. That wasn’t the case.
Want to prep but not sure where to begin?
Controversy Soon Followed
The report was greeted with significant criticism by four general groups:
Those who saw the book as a threat to their business or industry.
Professional economists, who saw LTG as an uncredentialled encroachment on their profession.
The Catholic church, which bridled at the suggestion that overpopulation was one of mankind’s major problems.
The political left, which saw the LTG study as a scam by the elites designed to trick workers into believing that a middle-class, proletariat paradise was a pipe dream.
New Projections Emerge
As time went on, the report was somewhat forgotten by some and ignored by many. But then something curious happened. Disturbing follow-up reports confirmed the projections of the original 1972 study.
The most recent report on LTG took place in 2020 with an analysis by Gaya Herrington, then Director of Sustainability Services of KPMG US and was published in Yale University’s Journal of Industrial Ecology.
The 2020 study examined updated quantitative information about ten factors including the five trends in the original LTG report:
Population
Fertility rates
Mortality rates
Industrial output
Food production
Services
Non-renewable resources
Persistent pollution
Human welfare
Ecological footprint
The 2020 analysis concluded that the Limits to Growth prediction is essentially correct in that continued economic growth is unsustainable under a “business as usual” model.
The new study found that current empirical data is broadly consistent with the 1972 projections, and confirmed that if major changes to the consumption of resources are not undertaken, economic growth will in fact peak and then rapidly decline by around 2030, with total collapse of civilization happening around 2040.
The telegram is that if we don’t change the way we live, eat, and buy all of the things that we’re used to doing without a thought, we will soon either be without them or not able to afford them. If that’s starting to sound familiar, it gets worse.
The Original LTG Study Was Actually Optimistic
As the original indications of the 1972 analysis continue to be studied a glaring reality emerged. The original computer model was in fact highly optimistic in its projections. It did not include any measurement of:
Military sectors in many nations continuously draining capital and resources from a productive economy.
Did not consider ethnic strife as a factor or trend.
Did not evaluate the effects of war on people, capital, destroyed buildings and land, or new forms of pollution (chemical, radioactive).
Did not factor in the affects of political and systemic corruption.
Omitted potential impacts from still unknown pandemics like AIDS, tuberculosis and COVID-19.
And while it did identify potential climatological affects of pollution, it did not fully explore the broad impacts of climate change nor factor in emerging and growing impacts of wildfires, floods, drought, and global water shortages on an industrial economy.
What should give us pause is that many of the projections from Limits to Growth are occurring right now. What may be making them hard to see is the distraction of recent events.
“Food prices are higher, but that’s because of the supply chain problems from COVID-19.”
“Gas prices are higher, but that’s because Russia invaded Ukraine”
“Inflation is happening, but that’s because everyone still has extra money to spend from those stimulus payments.”
“We’re not in a recession, it’s just some kind of short-term thing.”
“It’s all Trump’s fault.”
“No, it’s all Biden’s fault.”
Meanwhile…
The ice caps are melting, sea levels are rising, the average global temperature is approaching critical mass for permanent climate change, water shortages are devastating crops and cattle.
The global population is months away from 8 billion, we’ve passed the point of peak oil (when oil production is easy and cheap as a resource), and we’re a few years away from 90% global deforestation of unprotected woodlands.
It’s so bad that scientists are now saying we only have a 10% chance of surviving the next few decades without societal collapse.
And the Distractions Continue
Instead of doing any of the actionable steps to achieve a sustainable society through the responsible management of population growth and resource usage, we’ve continually distracted by the media myopia of political bickering, advertisements for more things we don’t need, and the desperate need of many to cling to life and business as usual.
But Why Can’t Technology Fix It?
The promise of new and emerging technologies to solve all of our problems is a common argument for a business as usual approach to the way society functions today. It was one of the primary arguments for dismissing the conclusions raised in Limits to Growth.
“Who needs oil when and electric cars will fill the gap?”
“Genetically modified foods and crops will give us better yields and more crops per acre.”
“We invented synthetic rubber during World War II and we’ll always be able to find a substitute for anything.”
The argument for technology is often summarized as the belief that our greatest resource is our resourcefulness. It’s the assumption that if we run out of something, we’ll find a substitute. But that misses a fundamental fact explored in Limits to Growth and that fact comes from the title of the study: “limits.”
Regardless of the brilliance of new inventions or innovations, they require new and old resources to be developed and result in new and additional waste products or pollutants as a result of their manufacture.
And their manufacture will also and ultimately exhaust the new resources while adding a new level of pollutants to the world’s ecosystem. Those are in fact the fundamental foundation elements of LTG as stated by its authors:
“Without substantial changes in resource consumption, the most probable result will be a rather sudden and uncontrollable decline in both population and industrial capacity”.
It’s not about changing the resource but changing our consumption of any resource. So what’s the Answer? In a word: “sustainability.”
Transitions to a Sustainable World
The world can respond in three ways to resource use and pollution emissions:
Disguise, deny, or confuse the signals. Generally, this takes the form of efforts to shift costs to those who are far away in space and time: our children and grandchildren or people and populations who can’t do anything to stop us. An example would be to buy air conditioners for relief from a warming climate, or to ship toxic wastes for disposal in a distant region. Common occurrences today in both instances.
Alleviate the pressures from limits by employing technical or economic fixes. For example, reducing the amount of pollution generated per mile of driving or per kilowatt of electricity generated. These approaches are only a stop-gap and will not eliminate the causes of these pressures.
The third way is to work on the underlying causes, to recognize that the socioeconomic system has overshot its limits, is headed toward collapse, and therefore seek to change the structure of the system to a sustainable model.
Unfortunately, the behaviors of the first way defined by disguise, denial and confusion seems to be our current approach to the realities of our limits to growth. Many of the limits analyzed in the original 1972 study have already been exceeded or “overshot” including population, pollution, and natural resources like oil.
Many of the voices calling for moderation in rapid growth are mocked and dismissed as doomsayers and survivalists. What’s unfortunate is that the planet those doomsaying survivalists meekly inherit will be a far cry from the paradise we once lived in and never really appreciated.
The only good news is that most survivalists know more than a thing or two about sustainability.
The “U.S. government” is comprised of a wide variety of different people, many of which are good and decent human beings. So this obviously does not represent everyone who works in the government. More importantly, this does not represent U.S. citizens either, so please do not fall into the trap of defending the crimes of your government, because you feel yourself personally under attack. Identify yourself with integrity, humanity and Truth, not a criminal government or group.
After the catastrophic attacks of September 11 2001 monumental sorrow and a feeling of desperate and understandable anger began to permeate the American psyche. A few people at that time attempted to promote a balanced perspective by pointing out that the United States had also been responsible for causing those same feelings in people in other nations, but they produced hardly a ripple. Although Americans understand in the abstract the wisdom of people around the world empathizing with the suffering of one another, such a reminder of wrongs committed by our nation got little hearing and was soon overshadowed by an accelerated “war on terrorism.”
But we must continue our efforts to develop understanding and compassion in the world. Hopefully, this article will assist in doing that by addressing the question “How many September 11ths has the United States caused in other nations since WWII?” This theme is developed in this report which contains an estimated numbers of such deaths in 37 nations as well as brief explanations of why the U.S. is considered culpable.
The causes of wars are complex. In some instances nations other than the U.S. may have been responsible for more deaths, but if the involvement of our nation appeared to have been a necessary cause of a war or conflict it was considered responsible for the deaths in it. In other words they probably would not have taken place if the U.S. had not used the heavy hand of its power. The military and economic power of the United States was crucial.

This study reveals that U.S. military forces were directly responsible for about 10 to 15 million deaths during the Korean and Vietnam Wars and the two Iraq Wars. The Korean War also includes Chinese deaths while the Vietnam War also includes fatalities in Cambodia and Laos.
The American public probably is not aware of these numbers and knows even less about the proxy wars for which the United States is also responsible. In the latter wars there were between nine and 14 million deaths in Afghanistan, Angola, Democratic Republic of the Congo, East Timor, Guatemala, Indonesia, Pakistan and Sudan.
But the victims are not just from big nations or one part of the world. The remaining deaths were in smaller ones which constitute over half the total number of nations. Virtually all parts of the world have been the target of U.S. intervention.
The overall conclusion reached is that the United States most likely has been responsible since WWII for the deaths of between 20 and 30 million people in wars and conflicts scattered over the world.
To the families and friends of these victims it makes little difference whether the causes were U.S. military action, proxy military forces, the provision of U.S. military supplies or advisors, or other ways, such as economic pressures applied by our nation. They had to make decisions about other things such as finding lost loved ones, whether to become refugees, and how to survive.
And the pain and anger is spread even further. Some authorities estimate that there are as many as 10 wounded for each person who dies in wars. Their visible, continued suffering is a continuing reminder to their fellow countrymen.
It is essential that Americans learn more about this topic so that they can begin to understand the pain that others feel. Someone once observed that the Germans during WWII “chose not to know.” We cannot allow history to say this about our country. The question posed above was “How many September 11ths has the United States caused in other nations since WWII?” The answer is: possibly 10,000.
Comments on Gathering These Numbers
Generally speaking, the much smaller number of Americans who have died is not included in this study, not because they are not important, but because this report focuses on the impact of U.S. actions on its adversaries.
An accurate count of the number of deaths is not easy to achieve, and this collection of data was undertaken with full realization of this fact. These estimates will probably be revised later either upward or downward by the reader and the author. But undoubtedly the total will remain in the millions.
The difficulty of gathering reliable information is shown by two estimates in this context. For several years I heard statements on radio that three million Cambodians had been killed under the rule of the Khmer Rouge. However, in recent years the figure I heard was one million. Another example is that the number of persons estimated to have died in Iraq due to sanctions after the first U.S. Iraq War was over 1 million, but in more recent years, based on a more recent study, a lower estimate of around a half a million has emerged.
Often information about wars is revealed only much later when someone decides to speak out, when more secret information is revealed due to persistent efforts of a few, or after special congressional committees make reports
Both victorious and defeated nations may have their own reasons for underreporting the number of deaths. Further, in recent wars involving the United States it was not uncommon to hear statements like “we do not do body counts” and references to “collateral damage” as a euphemism for dead and wounded. Life is cheap for some, especially those who manipulate people on the battlefield as if it were a chessboard.
To say that it is difficult to get exact figures is not to say that we should not try. Effort was needed to arrive at the figures of 6six million Jews killed during WWI, but knowledge of that number now is widespread and it has fueled the determination to prevent future holocausts. That struggle continues.
There has been so much written about Joe Biden’s September 1 “Soul of a Nation” speech that I have resisted the urge to weigh in.
In a nutshell, Biden declared all MAGA Republicans to be enemies of the state, and seemed to be nudging America in the direction of one-party rule, which is essentially what we already have. It’s called the “uniparty.”
My concern is that people’s attention is too focused on Biden and Trump and not enough on the sweeping global transformation that is going on, and speeches like the one Biden delivered on September 1 are meant to keep us distracted and diverted.
The globalists are in their final stages of a plan to push the U.S. and the world into a new digital system that’s designed for near 100 percent compliance. “No person will be left behind,” as promised by the United Nations Agenda 2030 documents.
Regardless of where you fall on the political spectrum, you must not lose sight of the fact that Biden is nothing but a puppet on a string mouthing words that were meant to divide.
I say this as a person who is no Trump cheerleader. I fell out with Trump the first time I heard him brag about being the catalyst for the greatest medical genocide project in human history.
But hating Biden is kind of like hating the cashier at your local big box store because you don’t like the store’s return policy.
His controllers, the upper-echelon globalists, know they can’t take down the most powerful and wealthy country in the world unless it can be divided up along racial, political, social and religious lines. They will purposely create crises like the border debacle, violent crime waves and mass shootings, then use the media to gaslight the public on each side of that issue.
In reality, the problem would have never existed if they, the globalist predators, hadn’t flung open the borders and hadn’t funded prosecutors who refuse to prosecute violent offenders to the full extent of the law.
But if your goal is to destroy a nation, you know you must first destroy its social cohesion.
They look at how you stand on these controversies of their own creation and then assign you to one of two teams. Team Biden and Team Trump.
It just makes things so much easier for them when our eyes are diverted onto these two divisive puppets.
I’m still not sure if Trump is a willing puppet or if he simply fell into the role, but he is a puppet. If he were an actual president, exercising all of the powers invested in that office for four years, he would have fired all of the globalists on his team, or never hired them in the first place. But he surrounded himself with guys like Bill Barr as attorney general, Christopher Wray as FBI director, his own son-in-law Jared Kushner, General Mark Milley as Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, and many other globalists.
Within 72 hours last week, these two puppets, Biden and Trump, had mutually declared each other to be enemies of the state. This is a first in American history. Never before have the nation’s two leading political figures declared each other to be not just wrong, but criminally culpable enemy combatants deserving of the gallows.
So the globalists are masters at manipulating public opinion through a roster of puppet politicians who are largely hated by their own national populations. Men like Biden, Trudeau in Canada, Mario Draghi in Italy, Emmanuel Macron in France, Mark Rutte in the Netherlands, Jacinda Ardern in New Zealand, they are all puppets of the World Economic Forum, which serves as puppet master.
The strength of the globalist system right now is that it really has no human face to which its opponents can rally against. It has national puppets, but this is a global system with no visible global leader, at least not yet. The closest thing to that would be Klaus Schwab but most average Joes still don’t know who he is. And even if they do, they’re not going to take him seriously because he’s too old and almost cartoonish in his villainous style of delivery.
The tyranny coming at us from so many angles is difficult to pinpoint because it is baked into a system that is supported by both of the two puppet political parties in the United States. They can rail against each other all they want but regardless of party they are, with few exceptions, all propped up by the same system that runs through Silicon Valley, Big Pharma, the intel agencies and the military-industrial-biomedical establishment.
This system can best be described as global technocracy.
Technocracy is the science of social engineering which results in a rule by “experts.” Technocrats hate politicians. Is it any wonder that they are making them look bad all over the world right now?
They want us to hate our political office holders, lose faith in the electoral system based on the voting machines they supply us, and they want us to see them as the saviors. The software engineers, unelected bureaucrats, scientists, those are the white hats riding to the rescue. Politicians can be changed out like used washrags but technocrats provide the permanent foundation, the glue that holds the liberal world order together. Trust them, we’re told. Trust the science! It was this religious fervor that went to Dr. Fauci’s head during Covid and led him to declare himself above questioning, boasting “I am the science!”
In this system, the anointed ones transcend us mere mortals and demand our submission.
Never mind that it was these very experts, the mostly nameless, faceless technocrats, who designed the system of oppression based on endless boosters, lockdowns by fiat and digital biopasses required for entry into public spaces.
Let me give you a couple of examples of how the systemic tyranny of technocracy reaches out to touch us in much more subtle ways, because if you can’t identify and reject the many small incursions, you will never have the courage to reject the big ones.
Nearly 23,000 Colorado customers with smart meters enrolled in the “AC rewards program” to get money back on their utility bills, but in return they give up control over their home thermostat. As is usually the case in these programs, they were asked to sacrifice a little of their personal autonomy for the “greater good,” and being obedient stooges of the liberal world order, they jumped at the chance.
Anything to save the planet, right?
The tools of technocracy almost always come with a dual purpose. One good. One entirely evil. In this case, conservation is a good thing. We shouldn’t be wasteful. But there’s always a catch.

This is how these programs start. They begin as voluntary, with an incentive offered, usually a discount or rebate of some type, and it later becomes punitive.
One gentleman interviewed by the local news station said “this is not what we signed up for.”
But that’s exactly what he signed up for. This is what they want everybody subjected to under the Great Reset and the radical climate agenda being foisted upon the world by Klaus Schwab, Bill Gates, Larry Fink and the rest of the globalist predator class.
Another example came to me this week from a friend who drives a 2022 Ford F-150 pickup truck. He was driving along the road one day when up flashed a message on the dashcam screen, which said “You are tired. Please stop and rest.”

When you first realize that you are in a SHTF scenario, it can be mind-blowing. You fear for your life and the lives of your family. Even with the best training, survival can be a daunting task. However, there are things you can do to give yourself the best odds of surviving and protecting your family. Remember the differences between yourself and everybody else around you, and you will realize that you are already way ahead of the game. In this article, we will cover the first 60 minutes and the actions you should immediately take to get out alive.
It is important to note that the most important task for your first 60 minutes is always to avoid panic. Keeping a cool head so often make the difference between life and death. The human body allows for so many more mistakes with the adrenaline is flowing. Early Warning Signs
I am not saying that you need to become a conspiracy theorist. However, keeping an eye out for the threats that affect your area is important. Pay attention to any government or military actions. Watch for any reports regarding diseases or pandemics. Pay attention to social unrest or riots in your area. Look for any weather or seismic warnings. You may even want to pay attention to the domestic and foreign markets for potential collapse. These are all warning signs of large-scale disasters that could affect your area. The point of this strategy is that by staying aware of these concerns, you can find out hours or even days before the general public. This head start can be huge for your family while everybody else is walking around unaware of the threat.
Have a Plan
Anything you can do in advance to prepare for SHTF scenarios is going to make a huge difference in your ability to survive. Of course, you cannot prepare for the event after it is already happening. You must have supplies set aside and have a plan with your family to get to safety. This plan should be practiced as much as possible so that the whole family knows what to do. In fact, you should have several different plans depending on the type of emergency and the severity.
Gather your Family
If you have any family or friends as part of your survival plan, you must get everybody together before you can make a move. You may have both mom and dad at work, kids at school or daycare, or even extended family to gather. There is no reason that you should not have everybody together within 60 minutes if you have the right plan. For example, my wife works about 20 minutes from our home and I work from home. My son is under 15 minutes from our home at daycare, but the distance would add another 15 minutes to my wife’s drive. Our plan is for me to pick up our son and meet back at our house about 5 minutes after my wife arrives. Travel time from start to home is roughly 25 minutes for the whole family. Then we can take further action.
If the majority of your family is more than 30 minutes from your home, you should have a plan to meet at a secondary location. If I worked downtown roughly 30 minutes north, I would switch our plan to meet at my son’s daycare. We would then decide if we need to leave one of our vehicles behind to better handle traffic. You also want to have a location like this in case somebody from your group is cut off by gridlock or a military road block. All adults need to be prepared to ditch their vehicle and move on foot if needed.
Pick a Plan
Once you gather together, you must quickly make a few vital decisions. You should be thinking about your options well before you get to your family so that you can have a short conversation. If you are meeting outside of your home, decide if you need to go home before making a move. It may be best to take what you have and leave the area immediately. If you decide to head home, you need to decide if you want to bug in or bug out. This may be subject to change as you get more information on your way home. Traffic, weather, phone calls, and radio announcements may all change your plan on a dime. You may also want to call any family or friends that are not part of your survival plan to warn them about the scenario and get more information.
Execute the Plan
If you plan to bug in, there are a few tasks that should be handled immediately. Windows and doors should be secured. Inventory for food, water, ammunition, and other vital products should be checked. This may include batteries, lighters, medical supplies, and toiletries. The inventory ensures that you are not surprised when you run out of a certain product. If you feel it is needed and you think you have time, you can make a fast run to a store to supplement your supplies. This should only be done if you have no other choice.
If you decide to bug out, get your bug out bags together. Gather as much food and water as you can comfortably carry. Grab any weapons you need and prepare to head out. You may want to board doors and windows to keep damage from looters to a minimum. You should also hide any valuables that are too bulky to carry with you. You will need to decide whether to bug out on foot or in a vehicle. If the roads are clear, the vehicle will help you cover more ground. However, if the roads are backed up or blocked then you need to be on foot.
In Conclusion
If you have planned in advance, prepared for these scenarios, and taken the right action then 60 minutes is plenty of time. If we do not have any blocked roads to deal with, there is no doubt in my mind that my family could be bugged in or bugged out within an hour. In addition, I am confident that I would recognize a SHTF situation well before the average person. This all adds to our ability to make it through safely. If you take action, stay calm, and follow these steps then you should come out safely as well.

The definition of Urban Survival differs slightly depending on who you ask.
Many take it to mean your “day-to-day city survival and safety measures” – a.k.a. “street smarts.”
But for us, I define it as follows:
The skills, tactics and ability to survive a widespread prolonged disaster while remaining in a densly populated urban environment (even if it’s just for a few days).
Urban survival is having the ability to tough it out in the belly of the beast.
Surviving a world-shattering catastrophe event from within the heart of a dangerous city takes an entirely different mindset. It also takes a particular set of survival skills, tools, and plans to stay alive.
Now, even if you don’t live or work in one of these 146 high population counties, maybe, you have a family member that does. Or maybe you occasionally visit your kids, friends or relatives in a nearby high-density city.
The bottom line is this:
If SHTF happens and you live in a city or are just there for a short visit, do you have the urban survival skills and knowledge to hunker down and survive? Maybe you’re forced to stay for a couple of days or weeks, do you know how to successfully transverse such an environment?

Getting Home
When a disaster strikes, the first thing you’ll want to do is to get home (unless your home was destroyed). Why? Because if you’ve prepared to any degree, that’s where you’ll be keeping the bulk of our survival gear and resources. But they don’t do you much good unless you can’t get home first.
You should assume you won’t be home when disaster strikes. You might be…but you shouldn’t assume that. This assumption helps you get prepared for that scenario.
And that’s why you need a fully stocked Get Home Bag.
Before you skip this section, hear this first: a GET HOME BAG is very different than a “Bug Out Bag” (BOB).
A BOB tends to be a large backpack, stored at home, and chalked full of almost every necessary piece of survival gear imaginable. It’s used for surviving (mostly in the wild) post-disaster.
A “Get Home Bag” by comparison, is small, lightweight and straightforward. You should have at least one of these but for many, it makes sense to have several dispersed in strategic areas. One for the car, one for the office, one for the boat, one of the RV, etc.
A get home bag should contain a number of specific survival resources to help you get back to home base. Here are the most common items found in a get home bag:
Spare Cash
Everyday Carry Knife
Maps (of city and surrounding areas)
Military Compass
Everyday Carry Flashlight
Small First Aid Kit
Hand Crank Radio
Protein Bars
Water and Portable Water Filter
The point of a Get Home Bag is to help you Get Home, duh! It’s the basic survival gear that will give you a bit of an edge should the world surrounding you fall into chaos when you’re away from your home base.
Rendezvous Location Specification
Great now that you’ve got your Get Home Bag, what happens if home base is destroyed or not safe? Do you have a backup rendezvous location? Have you shared this location with your loved ones?
When you are trying to survive an urban emergency, you might not have the opportunity to call your family and friends to arrange a meeting place. The kids might be at school. Your significant other may be at work across town; you might be at the dentist.
It’s better to plan ahead and specify a rendezvous point. But it has to be somewhere memorable – this does not work if everyone forgets where the meeting place is. Landmarks, schools or someone else’s house (you trust) are all possible options.
Make sure everyone is on the same page and even practice a few rendezvous drills to this location.
Deciding to Bunker Down or Bug Out
OK, this is the next big decision you need to make.
The desire to get as far away from the city in a prolonged disaster is natural, but not an urge you should follow in every circumstance. When you get home, check the news and talk to your neighbors to dig up more information on the situation. There are some considerations to take into account:
What is your emergency food stock looking like? Depending on how much food and water you have stocked up, you may be able to survive at home longer. The better your stockpile, the higher your chances of survival.
How serious is the disaster or emergency? If it’s dangerous and forecasted to continue that way, maybe your best option is to grab your stocked bug out bag and go. OR, it could be a severe (but temporary) emergency in which case bugging out might be a rash decision.
Are government institutions still functioning? Without police officers, firefights, and paramedics, EMT’s things are going to get nasty fast.
Of course, unanticipated things happen all the time – and they tend to occur more frequently during emergencies and disasters. Some unforeseen event may sway your decision. It may force you out of the city, or trap you within your own home; expect the unexpected.
You need to plan and then decide if it makes more sense to stay or go.
Urban Survival Planning and Preparation
For the sake of the rest of this article, let’s assume you decide it’s best to hunker down.
The real survival threat in an urban setting is the sheer number of people fighting over the same resources. So to survive such an environment we will primarily focus on the following two skills:
1 – Avoiding Others
2 – Scavenging Resources
If you can limit your exposure to others and scavenge essential resources, your chances of urban survival go up significantly.
Avoiding Others – Staying Put
Avoiding others will be a real challenge in a dense city, but the easiest way to avoid other people is to stay hidden in your home or apartment. And the only way you’re going to be able to do that for an extended period of time is to stockpile.
I won’t go into extreme detail here about stockpiling, but basically, you need to stock food, water, medical supplies, etc.
A note of caution: Don’t tell your neighbors or even friends about your stockpile. Unless you’re OK with sharing your stock resources when SHTF.
So limiting the amount of exposure to others by hunkering down is a good first step. But if you’re dealing with a prolonged disaster, at some point you’ll be forced to venture out for replenishment.
Avoiding Others – Urban Transportation
Naturally, if you jump in your car, start her up and put the pedal to the metal you’ll be noticed by others. But more often than not, in serious emergencies roads will be jammed up anyways. This can be a serious obstacle for someone determined to get back to home base or trying to move about the city.
Cars and trucks are the hardest to get around in the midst of chaos. Motorcycles and scooters more nimble and can dart/weave through thick traffic and tight roadways.
Bicycles are another quick way of getting around in an emergency – they are particularly handy in the case of an EMP because they do not require any electrical input to get you from point A to point B. However, with all of these options you are highly exposed. Exposed to gangs, thieves, or a looter who all may have gunfire.
So evasion is paramount when exposure becomes risky.
Going by foot is preferred once cars, scooters, and bikes become a liability because you can move quietly, and efficiently without the need for roads. Unfortunately, many large cities sprawl which means that you could have a very long distance to cover. Miles could take days if remaining hidden is required.
Darting through small buildings, basement or rooms to provide hidden paths can work, however, if you don’t know the city well you may be evading right into a bad guy’s lair.
Cities simply have too many people in them to remain undetected for the long haul. So you also need to have a self-defense plan and be ready to take immediate proactive action.
Firearms are loud but effective so equip yours with a suppressor. Melee weapons are quieter but less efficient.
I plan to have both options with me at all times and use the one that seems most appropriate for any given situation.
Get To Know Your Area Well and Practice
People who live and work in urban environments should know their area intimately. Take multiple different routes to and from work each day to explore new areas and find back alleys and shortcuts.
Buy some detailed maps of the city and surrounding areas (keep these in your Get Home Bag). Study these maps. Learn them now so you’re not fumbling with them later when the lights go out, and anarchy breaks loose in the city.
Urban survival includes learning how to move about a city undetected; like a ninja. Traveling over rooftops or sewer systems becomes a major advantage. These are routes you should start practicing today to move secretly throughout a city.

As we just discussed, moving about undetected is key to avoiding conflict. But where are you going and why? You’re scavenging.
Finding useful resources in an urban environment may seem like a simple process. Just dart off to the nearest Walmart or Target, right? The problem with these public locations is that they are obvious.
Everyone already knows about these locations and they will be looted early in a disaster. So you need some new ideas. Some good locations where the masses won’t be looking (at least initially).
You want to focus on places that the masses have never thought about. Places such as distribution centers, manufacturing sites, schools, or building construction sites.
Your odds of scoring a few precious resources go up significantly if the masses haven’t been there yet. The main resources you’re going to want are:
Water
Food
Medical Supplies
Tools and Gear
Also, if you’re a skilled survivalist, you’ll know how to turn what looks like junk into a useful survival item. So keep that in mind when scavenging.

The urban survival skill you really need to focus on and develop is situational awareness. The choices you make when traveling and scavenging will be determined by how well you’ve honed your situational awareness.
Using your instincts and constantly scanning your environment for evidence of trouble will help you to make wise survival decisions. Often it’s not the strongest or most aggressive who wins, but the one who makes better choices based on what a situation calls for.
The bottom line is: A lot of violence could be prevented if more people had better situational awareness.

Helping your neighbors can be incredibly rewarding. Sharing your emergency food stockpileor ammo, or even a useful survival tip can earn you an ally during a tumultuous period.
You watch their back, and they will watch yours. It is a symbiotic relationship that benefits both parties.
Besides, having survival friends is nice for the company.
However, don’t be too trusting or you might end up dead. Even if it is someone you have known for years and consider a close friend, it is never a good idea to show someone where you keep your survival stash.
Use diversion safes to keep your most valuable items hidden.
Revealing valuable food, water, weapons or your ammo supplies to someone might present unnecessary temptation. It would suck to wake up one morning and find out your “buddy” Scott skipped town with all your ramen noodles and shotgun shells.
Be conservative with your trust; do not just give it to anyone. If there is a big bad cue ball meth-head living down the hall, you can go ahead and assume you are better off without him. Have some common sense.
There is also the option not to trust anyone at all. You do not necessarily need other people to survive (although, it does make it easier). Sticking just to yourself makes life a little simpler, you just need to be sure you have the ability to do so. The lone wolf lifestyle certainly has its advantages.
Personally, I take the middle ground. I trust with extreme caution. The two criteria for me to trust someone is:
1) They are nearly as prepared as me BEFORE the world goes to shit.
2) They pull their own weight.
If they have these two qualities, I will consider building a relationship with them in preparation for SHTF. But building a new relationship mid-diaster is like playing Russian roulette. Not recommended unless it’s truly your only option.
Stay Fit, Stay Trained
If you are trying to make your way back home or to your apartment from within a city you will have to travel through dangerous territories (probably by foot).
Roadways will likely be jammed up by police barricades, gridlocked traffic, or debris from destruction.
And along the way, you may have to fight. So it is pertinent to stay in shape, and even train yourself physically for such an event.
Long walks, hikes or runs are great ways of keeping fit. But it’s also great practice for traveling by foot. Having travel endurance is key to urban survival.
For urban survival, you should practice moving quickly and with urban evasion techniques. Thrill sports such as rock climbing, bouldering, and free running are great for toning your core and upper body muscles. This will prepare you to climb building ladders, scramble between rooftops.
Mostly you need to be able to move throughout a city with minimal visual exposure.
Martial arts are particularly useful because, on top of being great exercise, they are tried and tested methods of self-defense.
If you ever find yourself in a violent riot or a looting frenzy, there may arise the necessity to fight as opposed to flight – if you are a trained martial artist, you are going to be ready for that.
Living In A Post-Disaster World
It is not going to be easy.
When the dust finally settles, and the hectic mayhem subsides, there will be a severely damaged society to cope with.
Depending on how severe the destruction is, there may be an extended period of “toughing it out”. It could be weeks, months, or years before life starts returning to normal – you may have to go without running water, electricity, and essential services like garbage removal.
The fight over scarce resources will drive the chaos. If resources continue to be scarce escalation will ensue. People will go from fighting over resources to killing forthem.
The most important step is survival, and if you keep your wits about you, and prepare yourself with these steps, you will be ready to cope with just about any urban survival scenario you find yourself in.
